Everyone is waiting for the next update to the Zombie Farm – making zombies is no fun if you can only raid Old Mcdonnell and his farm. No one is attacking you, and you can get only to Old Mcdonnell. To be more precise, making zombies is half the fun.
To be on the other side of the story to Plants Vs Zombies tickles everyone’s evil side. The kinds of zombies you can make is a laugh just by itself. It is just that you keep making and making zombies, and only place you can lay waste to with your zombie army is Old Mcdonnell – annoying when you know that just on the other side of the app fence, people are playing Plants Vs Zombies.
How to Make a Zombie
To say the the Zombie Farm is on the other side of the app fence is simplifying the story. A virtually complete mythology of zombies rules the Zombie Farm, beginning with green zombies that help you with growing other zombies, to zombie monoliths that provide a life force to your freshly planted zombies, lessening the chances that the zombie you planted turns out to be a dud.
The zombies that you harvest are not the be all and end all of the zombie. Zombies can acquire additional abilities if you win your battle with Old Mcdonnell – a 5% addition to its statistics makes a stronger zombie on its way to becoming a Master zombie. Also, if you successfully invade Old Mcdonnell, you have a chance at getting some human brains – a prized currency in zombie farming. This is aside from the 5% increase in the stats of surviving zombies, plus an additional random ability.
The Art of a Zombie War
The same way you have to arrange your plants in order to make the perfect defense in Plants Vs Zombies, you also have to arrange your zombies in marching order in a raid against Old Mcdonnell. This is an update to the original Zombie Farm – it used to be that your zombies just attacked the farm mindlessly, randomly and with no supervision from you whatsoever – now you can arrange your troops to create the perfect offensive army of zombies.
For example, a headless zombie is better in the front lines of your army – a headless zombie can take more damage than your average zombie. Combining a large zombie with a small zombie creates a new attack – the large zombie can launch the small zombie at the enemy lines as a projectile, and the small zombie will sometimes explode and create more damage. But remember, aliens are more resistant to small zombies, so aim right.
Regular and female zombies combined increase each others statistics, making them more effective together than apart.

The Brain is Behind It All
The brain allows you access to more items in your zombie farming. You can get brains by invading Old Mcdonnell’s farm, or you can purchase one from the store. But Zombie Farm will not go on past level 10 until you purchase a brain from the store for USD 1. It is just the price of the mobile app, and one dollar is a small price to pay compared to other paid apps. Besides, you already had ten levels to enjoy Zombie Farm anyway.
After that, the next brain can be had by invading Old Mcdonnell again after level 10. And so on and so forth until you have settled into a rhythm of raising your zombies and attacking Old Mcdonnell. And that is where Zombie Farm is for most people.

Fresh Meat
If only for the structuring of zombies into an orderly system, Zombie Farm is already worth wasting time on, even if it is only up to level ten for the free version. You also have to appreciate the back story for each kind of zombie you can raise on your farm, up to the zombie monolith that seems to be useless but is really the backbone to a zombie’s life.
But still, the game needs fresh meat. As a free app, the Zombie Farm is great, and most complaints probably stem from the fact that even if they did buy the paid version of the app, it would just be the same thing all over again. At the same time, Zombie Farm, while already a great app, has a lot of room for further improvement. Suggestions range from attacking Plants Vs Zombie Players to just attacking neighboring zombie farms – just anyone else but Old Mcdonnell again. Everyone is raising zombies left and right, and the zombies are raring to go to war. Anyone will do.
