In case you have not figured it out yet, Senuti is “iTunes” spelled backwards. It is a computer –and not an iGadget –application with a name somewhat indicative of its function. It does exactly the opposite of what iTunes does. In short, it copies songs from your iPod or any iGadget to your computer.
Senuti has a very plain interface. Let this not fool you, though, as it is able to deliver its promise of transferring songs from your iPod to your computer with ease and excellence. It works fast and has no problem transferring big music files. However, a price has to be paid to be able to get the full version of this app.
So, are you interested in using Senuti? Start by following the steps below.
Starting with Senuti

Step 1: download and install the Senuti software package.
The program is available for download in their website. There is a free demo version of this software, but it has a limited song-transferring capacity. If you want the unlimited version, you have to buy it for about $20.00.
Step 2: connect your iPod to your computer then launch the program
Step 3: transfer your songs
Once you have launched the program, it will read the files in your gadget and display them for you. Depending on your preference and convenience, you can opt to have them displayed, sorted according to title, artist, album name, etc. The interface is very basic and easy to use.
You will have no problem going about your business. Check the songs you want transferred and click transfer. Or, if drop-and-drag is your thing, this action is also possible using Senuti.
Note: other options regarding the transfer of songs are also available. Examples of these options are transferring play counts or copying star ratings.
Step 4: you’re done and ready to listen to songs in your computer.
Problems With Senuti
The use of Senuti is fairly easy. One problem with this program, however, is that it does not transfer other files such as apps, games and iBooks. But that shouldn’t be an issue, as those are easy and free to download. Moreover, the majority of iPod users would rather save their songs than any other file. As such, this should suit the taste of many users.
Another issue that is raised upon the invention of this app is the possibility of it promoting piracy. However, there are many reasons, aside from piracy itself, people would want to transfer files from their iPod to their computer. One is to negate the effects of a computer crash. Secondly, it is to transfer files from an old computer to a new one. Whatever the reason may be, rest assured that users can find different uses for this app –and piracy should not be one of them.
Another common complaint heard about Senuti is that it does not have a version for Windows. This is a MAC OS software package and it works exclusively only with MAC OS.
Senuti is a neat app. It functions basically as a music copier from your iPod to your computer. Its easy usability gives it a high commendation for all iPod, iPad, and iPhone users –even for beginners. Its main limitation is that it cannot be used by Windows owners. However, anyone who owns an iGadget and a MAC should download this, just in case they have to copy files in the non-traditional sequence (iPod to MAC).
