Paper Toss is pretty simple, but can be quite addicting. You will have different levels of difficulty where the only thing that changes is the distance. Apparently, the longer the distance, the harder it is to master the wind blowing effect and thus the game becomes much more challenging.
The Gameplay
The mechanics of the game is very easy. Your main goal is to flick a piece of paper into a trash bin. It seems very simple, but there’s really something to keep you feel the hype and the challenge. The part that makes the game really interesting is the blowing of fan. There’s a fan running in the space which blows the paper out of your desired direction. The fan has different strengths which can be reflected on your level.
You will be scored according to the number of papers you manage to toss into the bin until you hit off the mark so it’s really too easy to go back to zero. This is where the challenge takes place. While physics is the backbone of the game, it doesn’t really require you to have superior mastery for physics to be able to make constant shots. You have a global scoreboard where you can view the leading scores and upload your own score with which you take pride in. From there, you can challenge your co-workers to beat your highest score and let paper tossing battle begin!
User Interface
Basically, you will hold your iPhone or iPod Touch in a vertical manner as you throw pieces of crumpled papers into the target bin. Your highest score is displayed at the top of the screen, and its visibility makes you feel the urge to beat it. The fan changes the speed and direction for each shot and thus you will need to accurately calculate your trajectory. The screen displays the wind direction so you can easily make the right calculations. Ads may appear at the top area of the screen but it doesn’t affect the game at all.
Graphics and Sound Effects
The 3D graphics are pretty impressive and the animation is really good. The graphics truly renders the office aura and the office noise sound effects will also make you feel like you’re really seated at your workstation. The Drawback
Paper Toss is really fun and a great time-waster. However, we would like to see more improvements with the game. It would be really more fascinating to have the ability to choose different settings other than the single office environment. Adding the ability to control the force of shots can also give the players a more varied game plan.
