Most of the new 3rd generation iPods have between 4 and 8 GB internal memory, ample space for the casual users since this means you can load above one thousand songs on the gadget. They mostly come in black with metallic faces but some models have began introducing shiny model. However, the shiny plastic or metal models are not very good since they get scratches and tend to show finger prints on their surfaces.
The 3g nano iPods have wide screen to reduce stress on the eyes and have high pixels to give the best quality to the owner. Unfortunately not all games work on the iPod nano 3g. Games from previous versions or from 4th and 5th generation gadgets cannot be played on the 3rd generation. Only games from the 3rd generation format can be played. The 3g iPods mostly have most of the input and output jacks and pins at the bottom of the player. This is convenient as it gives the gadget clean look when in use. They have flaps that can cover the hole to keep out dust and dirt from entering the gadget. They have a universal jack that is at the bottom as well as a changing pin that is also a universal 1/8 inch jack and a charging pin. Most have an additional output jack at any of the side tops that can be used to connect to accessories like speakers.

The biggest improvement has been on the hardware, with the inclusion of feature that were left out on the previous models, the iPod nano 3g, the gadget has regained its fame with people who prefer the smaller sizes and avoid bulky gadgets. They share the same buttons and scroll options as the previous models but are faster. Additionally clocks have been added and song counters so the person can know exactly how many songs he has. A memory counter has been added to the software to enable the owners know how much memory is empty and full.
The iPod nano 3g has certainly changed the view of consumers who had shunned the nano range due to lack of extra facilities that are require by the consumer. Today but with the inclusion of these facilities, the ipod nano 3rd generation has regained its fame among consumers who have rated it 4 stars out of a total of five compared to the 1st and 2nd nano models that were rated only 3 stars out of five.
