The most clichéd question that one comes across on the net on all iPod forums is “I can’t turn off my iPod Nano. Please help!” Well help is now at hand, for to turn off iPod Nano, the first thing that we all must understand is that the function of “Sleep” with iPods is same as turning it “Off”.

If you are not listing to your favorite tunes all the iPod automatically goes off to sleep within a few minutes of its inactivity. You need not turn off ipod nano once it is inactive, for this automatic sleep function of the iPod system helps the iPod from depleting its battery and also helps in providing maximum output of its battery strength. The “Sleep” mode in all iPods is the same as it also happens when you press the Play/Pause button and hold it for a few seconds longer than its normal limits.
