3 Ways Load Music Onto Your BlackBerry From A Mac

Many people continue to use a separate mp3 player instead of using their phone due to the misconception that it’s time consuming, a hassle and just all too difficult. Below are different ways to make your BlackBerry the all-in-one leisure hub it was meant to be.

Getting your songs from your Mac to your BlackBerry can be done in as fast as five minutes. Let us show you how.

BlackBerry Media Sync

Step 1: First you will need the adapter wire that comes with your BlackBerry, attach the USB driver to the USB port on your MAC and connect the other end of the wire to the charging port on your phone.

Step 2: Chances are, if this is the first time you have plugged your phone in, your Mac will automatically prompt you to install BlackBerry Media Sync. Install the software.

Step 3: Launch the application, locate the tab for Music and check the box that says “Sync music.” You can then customize which songs or playlists you want to sync to your phone.

It’s as easy as 3 steps. The next time you want to add new songs, just plug the wire with your BlackBerry device and let it sync away with only one touch of a button. Here’s an extra tip, to make syncing even easier and faster, create a folder on your Mac for songs that you specifically want on your device. Then check this folder as the only folder to be synced on BlackBerry Media Sync. This way, you no longer have to keep looking for each individual song every time you decide to update your playlist.

USB Syncing

If you don’t want to go through installing an application or wish to transfer songs from your friend’s Mac, here’s another easy way to do that.

Step 1: Connect you BlackBerry to the Mac with the USB cable.

Step 2: Choose “USB Mode” or “Mass Storage Mode” on the pop-up menu in your BlackBerry. Your phone will automatically act like a USB drive and will appear as such on the Mac.

Step 3: Open up the folder or drive with your BlackBerry’s name and simply drag and drop files into your designated music folder or to the default “Music” folder.

But what if you lost your wire? Don’t fret. Where there’s a BlackBerry, there’s always a way.

Step 1: Simply take out the SD Media card found inside your phone and plug into an adapter.

Step 2: Your Media card will pop up on your Mac and just like a USB, you can drag and drop your files similar to the set-up above.

Simple as 1, 2 and 3. We told you it would be easy. And now that you’ve learned to sync music, you can give that mp3 player a rest and feel the weight lift as you go out with just one device, your BlackBerry.
