Tap Tap Revenge is a music game for iPhone, iPad, and iPod which tests your coordination and reflexes while tapping to the beat of different songs. It is created by Nate True, published and developed by Tapulous in 2008. The game is reminiscent of the Dance Dance Revolution popularized by Konami in the late 90s.
The game mechanics basically tells you to tap the falling balls whenever they reach the bottom part of the screen. Correct timing and rhythm in accordance to the song being played is necessary. Additional actions such as shaking your device to left, right, and back direction is also included as part of the controls. Scores can be uploaded and compared with other users globally. You can also compete with other Tap Tap Revenge users online. You can choose the game difficulty level such as easy, medium, hard, and extreme depending on your tapping expertise.
There are around three or four built-in songs once you download Tap Tap Revenge. As you play the game regularly, you will eventually get tired and bored of the songs so you would want to download new ones. Plus, you would also prefer to put songs on Tap Tap Revenge which suits your preference.
The most recent is the Tap Tap Revenge 4, which has added newer and more popular songs to its library such as tracks from Lady Gaga, Jason Derulo, Taio Cruz, Ke$ha, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, and many others to choose from.
Most of the songs are paid. Short song samples and few full-length songs can be downloaded for free.
