About the Game
Cooking Dash is PlayFirst’s sequel to the popular cooking game called Diner Dash. When Cookie leaves and tried to start a career as a TV actress, Flo is left with no other choice but to fill in the shoes of the chef. This is the kick-off of Flo’s new adventure. Help Flo and Grandma serve the customers with full satisfaction otherwise you will lose the patrons off your restaurant.
The Gameplay
The concept of this free game is simple. Strive to make your customers happy by serving them the exact dishes they want without any delays. Random people come to your restaurant to eat, and these people are very impatient. You will not only make yourself busy in the kitchen but you will also have to deal with the varying temperaments of your customers. Once you lose their patience you will likewise lose them as customers. Therefore, you have to keep them happy and satisfied in order to earn big points in the game.
Your flourishing points will consequently bring you to the next level. You will control Flo to move around from station to station to help seat customers, take orders, prepare, cook, deliver and clean up dishes. As the game progresses, the more complicated the orders get and thus the busier you become. The game can really become very hectic so you need to have a good set of time management skills and hence Cooking Dash is categorized as a time management game.
The Interface and Artificial Intelligence
After you have seated your customer/s, you will take their orders which appear in a thought bubble. You will take control of the kitchen by tapping the items that you need to prepare and cook, as well as the grills, fryers, juice machines or coffee maker that you will be using. Once the food is cooked, the timer turns green. Serve them immediately before the dish starts to burn. When it’s perfectly prepared, cooked and served, you will get bonus points for it. You will also gain extra points if you match your customer’s color of clothing to the color of the seat. The game also allows you to specifically cater the needs of each of your customer.
Determine whether their quick eaters, loud talkers or the silent type and then find the most suitable seats for them according to their personalities. If you make the customers happy, the thought balloon for the customer will light up. Ensure that you do not mess up with the orders otherwise wasted food will be disposed into the trash bin, wherein you will be penalized for. Once the customers are done with the food, tap on them to cash them out. Quickly clean up the dishes so you can accommodate new customers into the station. The challenge for you is to help Flo stay efficient all throughout the game so you can rack up points and bonuses. The money that you are earning will be used to upgrade the functionality and furnishings of your restaurant.

You will enjoy the clear layout of the restaurant along with the clarity of the characters, ingredients, cookers and utensils. This facilitates easy and smooth navigation of the interface that works well with a finger touch. Although the game ensures anyone of a good aural experience, one interesting option is that you can listen to your favorite music by having a playlist in the game. Meanwhile, the sound effects are fairly typical for any virtual cooking game, from the sizzling fryers, buzzing blenders, finishing bells and to the burning of dishes, etc.
