Fragger is one of the most popular iOS games out there—and this probably stems from the fact that this Miniclip title is all about making things explode and blow up. The interface and graphics are quite simple, but the game packs a wallop in terms of puzzles that demand a bit of knowledge in physics and careful strategizing.
About the Game
This title has been around long enough to be considered irrelevant, but it still remains to be popular among iPhone gamers all over the world. Miniclip has been developing games long before the introduction of the iPhone, and this game has proved that this company has what it takes to produce games that can be successful on different platforms. There is a free lite version of this title, but if you want to fully enjoy the puzzles and challenges of Fragger, you can easily buy it from the iTunes or App Store at just $0.99.
A “fragger” is a special operations soldier responsible for throwing grenades. These grenades can be thrown at or into structures and buildings to blow up masked men (your enemies) within these areas. You will need to adjust the angle of the projectile and the speed of the grenade with touching your finger on the screen. At the moment that you release your finger from the screen of your iPhone, the fragger will throw the grenade at or into the building. The mechanics of Fragger is not so different from Angry Birds, but instead of pigs, you get to blow up people.
There are 100 levels of Fragger to complete, and these levels take place in a variety of environments. There are also a couple of levels that take place in Planet X, which is clearly not the planet we all inhabit. There are three difficulty modes in the game:Normal, Hard, and Elite. Plus, there are also a wide variety of game missions and these missions need careful planning and strategizing in order to complete.
Physics is an important component in this game, Fragger’s game engine is nuanced and very sensitive to every variable that is involved with throwing a projectile. You will have to determine the right angle and the right speed in order to hit your target in the way the level requires. While you will be able to learn this throughout the course of the game, you will need to learn fast because there are only a handful of grenades at your disposal.
Most of the levels in the game will require you to throw grenades at multiple opponents, while there are also some levels where you need to throw the grenades at a specific spot of the structure. Plenty of practice, focus, and concentration are also required in order to get through the each level successfully.
As we have mentioned earlier, Fragger is very similar to Angry Birds or Tiny Wings, and this game features almost the same controls. Learning how to throw grenades effectively is quite easy as well.
Graphics and Sound Effects
The graphics is cute and colorful, which makes the violent overtones of this Miniclip title tame down a little. Sound effects are great as well, and work well with all the other elements of the game to provide an enjoyable and engrossing experience.
One of the main complaints of iPhone gamers playing Fragger is that there are not enough levels to play. Fragger is highly addictive with its diverse and challenging levels, and once we have finished all of them, we wanted more. Miniclip promised to continue releasing new levels for the game, which will keep the title interesting for thousands of iOS gamers all over the world.
Puzzle games like Fragger are really addictive, thanks to their relatively simple user interface, the diversity of levels, and the intelligent addition of strategy employment. The challenges steadily progress with each level and allows for a sense of achievement for the player. If you are looking for a game that will challenge and hook you right in, do not look further than Fragger.
