What do you need to help the Angry Birds get revenge on the green pigs that stole their eggs? What you will need the most is a cool drink and some snacks beside you. This game is not one of the best mobile games for nothing. Be prepared to spend some time playing because this game can get very addictive.
Angry Birds is a simple physics-based game that also requires a bit of strategy. The concept of the game is simple; take one of the birds, put it in a sling shot, pull back and adjust your aim, let go and see if the bird will destroy the target.
In concept it may be simple, but in reality, the game is a bit harder than you thought it would be. The hardest part is getting the right trajectory. The controls are so sensitive that even if you were able to get it right one time, it’s going to be next to impossible to duplicate the shot on the next try.
The Gameplay
It’s time for the Angry Birds to get their revenge on the green pigs, so do your best to slingshot them to hit the best possible target. If hit the right targets, the building will collapse and destroy those pigs.
Remember that each of the Angry Birds have special powers. When you let the slingshot go, tap the bird in mid-air and you’ll see what the special powers of that bird is. Some birds will explode upon impact, some will divide in mid-air causing multiple impacts, and others will suddenly grow hitting the target with a larger force.

Using the right bird at the right time is the key to destroying the building. However, there may be times when you just can’t hit the target correctly. It’s during these times when you could use a little help.
If you get tired of repeating a level, you can call the eagle and it will destroy the building for you. Unfortunately, the eagle won’t be available all of the time, so you will still need to rely on your skills and a bit of luck to bring down the building.
There are times when luck is what is really needed to complete a level. Sometimes you need to hit the buildings using the birds’ powers in a certain sequence. That’s fine if the birds line up the way you need them to, but you don’t get to choose how they line themselves up at the slingshot. This is probably why the Eagle is there so you can just call for help if the birds just won’t come in the right sequence.
Angry Birds has so many levels that getting through all of them will really take some time. Most casual players may not even reach the last level. Depending on the amount of time you can sit down and play the game, it could take months before you can complete all the levels.
If you need to challenge yourself a bit more, aim to complete all the levels with a 3 star rating. There really isn’t much benefit other than playing for the highest score, but it makes playing the game a little bit more challenging.
User Interface
The controls are a bit sensitive so trying to “master” a certain slingshot position would be futile. The best you can do is have fun and get the slingshot as close as you can to the desired position. A simple tap and drag to get the angle of the slingshot is all you need to do to play the game. It really is fun trying to guess the best position of the slingshot.

Graphics & Sound Effects
The graphics of this iPhone game are so well done that it’s fun to watch the birds as they get released from the slingshot and head to their targets. They also change in mid-air when their powers are used, at least some of them do.
The sound effects really do portray the game, but after playing for a while, sometimes it would be nice to be able to hear something different. Hearing the same thing over and over again can get a little bit tiresome.
If you do get tired of hearing the same things, it can help to play some other music.
The Drawback.
Angry Birds gets more and more challenging as you get to the higher levels, but there is one thing that most players complain about and that is the ads that are frequently being shown on the free version. These appear on the top of the screen and will often block the view of the birds as they fly towards the target.
An ad every now and then would be acceptable, but they appear too frequently to the point that they disturb the play and destroy the experience.
Other than the ads, the game itself doesn’t have many faults.
Conclusion
There hasn’t been a more successful mobile game than Angry Birds. The game leads in so many countries around the world and it will take some time before the Angry Birds are taken from the #1 spot worldwide.
The game is easy to play. It is not hard at all to control the slingshot. It can be difficult to master a particular trajectory, but pulling back and letting go is a pretty straightforward process.
The number of levels is actually more than what an average player can handle. Even those who have too much free time on their hands will still need to spend a good amount of time to get through all the levels.
Overall, the game promises you hours of fun and entertainment. It’s an excellent choice when you’re just trying to kill time or when you really need something to do to help you relax.
